That's a little annoying because I had to go hunt for a separate wall plug, but I just use the one from my old phone.I found that following the instructions exactly doesn't leave you much time to connect the unit to the vehicle securely. The charging cord didn't come with a wall plug, just a USB A end. Those drain the battery quite quickly, but in a pinch, it's handy. I also like the little 12 volt cigarette adapter it comes with, so you can run 12v accessories off the pack. 1 jump hardly brought down the battery level. Plugged in this little unit, and it worked right away. For the Escalade, we initially tried using one of those humongous box-type plugin jumpers, and it couldn't provide enough juice to start the engine. However, I have jumped both my MIL and FIL with it (an Escalade and a little convertible) with absolutely no problem. I bought it for my 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel shuttle bus, although I haven't gotten to test it on that vehicle yet. It's lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to keep in your vehicle. I like that it comes in a semi-hard shell case with space for all the accessories to keep it organized. Something that most lithium devices are well suited. The only thing that needs to be verified is the ability to maintain its charge over long periods of time. It has output USB for charging other equipment.This is an excellent value for the piece of mind that it brings. It has a very bright light that is activated by long pressing the power switch. While charging, the unit displays the charge level. And this actually works with a dead battery without having to engage any other settings.It comes with a charging cable (very short) that you plug into any USB port. Turn it on and then start your vehicle! That simple. There are LEDs in the cable connector that will indicate a good connection or you have the cables on the wrong terminals. To use it you plug the cables is (only one way to connect) and then attach to battery. This will auto shutoff if nothing else is done. You verify its charge simply by touching the power button and a large very clear numeric readout of the charge is presented. Second, it doesn't get any simpler to use, contrary to some others on the market. First, it is the perfect size for an emergency use option in every vehicle. I have used one of these in just about every family member's vehicle, but this product is by far, the best one I've come across to date.
